FLATOUT's STEM Racing Program uses professional sim racing hardware and real-time telemetry to teach data analysis, engineering, and cognitive performance — a credible, hands-on complement to the science and technology classroom.

Our Position

Educational. Professional. Not Arcade.

We built FLATOUT around the same simulation technology used to train real racing drivers and engineers — not the coin-operated arcade cabinets students already associate with “racing games.” Every rig outputs real, readable telemetry data, and every session is structured around a learning objective, not free play.

For your school, that means a STEM elective, CTE credit option, or extracurricular program that stands next to robotics club and coding club — not a field trip to a game room. Faculty stay in the room, curriculum ties back to your existing science and math standards, and every student leaves with data they generated themselves.

Three Ways We Tie Racing Back To The Classroom

Each session is framed around a specific academic or developmental angle, so it's easy to map onto an existing subject or program.

Math & Science

Telemetry & Data Analysis

Students read live telemetry graphs straight off the rig — braking pressure, throttle input, tire slip — and use that data to make measurable improvements to lap times. It's applied statistics and data literacy, with an immediate, visible result.

Engineering

Vehicle Dynamics & Physics

Weight transfer under braking, tire temperature and friction, aerodynamic drag — the physics students see in textbooks becomes something they can feel and test, safely, inside a simulator instead of a real car.

Athletics & Wellbeing

Sports Psychology & Cognitive Training

Focus under pressure, reaction time, spatial awareness, stress management — sim racing is a recognized competitive discipline that gives students who don't play traditional sports a genuine athletic outlet.
